ABOUT THE GUEST ARTISTS

Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg’s brilliant technique, profound musical depth, and sharp wit are familiar to millions because her career has taken her not only around the world but also into our homes. With 20 albums to her credit and a list of awards as long as her bow, she has appeared on 60 Minutes, CBS Sunday Morning, Live From Lincoln Center, The Charlie Rose Show, and even Sesame Street. Salerno-Sonnenberg is as widely known for her versatility and collaborative spirit as she is for her stunning skills and her love of making music.

Salerno-Sonnenberg also is music director and concertmaster of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, the 19-member string orchestra lauded for its remarkable precision, passion and power. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, New Century is comprised of musicians from across the United States and Europe. Together in Swasey Chapel, Salerno-Sonnenberg and New Century will surprise and inspire, breathing new life and dynamic swagger into rarely heard jewels.
